It was given to A R Collins by Herr Wildbrett of Heinrich Butzer who was the resident engineer on the repair work'. The original drawing was dated 23 May 1943. The Möhne Dam was breached during Operation Chastise (the 'Dambusters' raid) of 16-17 May 1943.
